At sundown the clever lighting gives you the impression of being on the movie set of Avatar. The vibe is very laid back as activities are restricted to kayaking, local village tours and boat trips due to the remote location, and food options are limited to the excellent resort restaurant or the neighbouring Paradise resort restaurant if you fancy a change of scenery. Bottom line is that this is a must-see resort and will not disappoint even if you only spend a few nights here.

was here a few years ago – and would perhaps have said it was a bit run down then. Returning this time with family and friends I can only say it was absolutely delightful to return and we all had a wonderful time. The rooms have been refurbished in perfect island style, nice and airy with ocean colours and with lots of little quirky amenities and delicious touches. I had a room with the most amazing view

Obviously in looking at the promotional pics and videos, I was finding it hard not to let my expectations get out of hand. Having said that the reality was even better than the pics suggest. What the pics don’t capture is the detail and quality of the design and construction of these villas which are extraordinary!!
